Jhrool was originally discovered by Monkey, frozen solid, floating in interstellar space, in a comatose state. When it was brought into the light, it melted and awoke, but its memory had been wiped during the long, cold night.

Monkey knew that what he had found was something special, because it immediately began emitting radio waves when it melted. But what was it? It was many months before Monkey realized that Jhrool was a sentient being.
