Nick says: All of a sudden there was a mysterious robed figure standing in the middle of the red brick plaza in the village of curiosity junction. At that time curiosity junction was an imaginary place. It was my own creation, the setting for a series of stories I was writing, so I was surprised to find someone there without inventing him. I was even more astonished when he took the initiative and walked across the plaza and into the cafe, where he introduced himself to Monkey and Sylissa. From that moment on, I was no longer in charge. All the characters I thought I had created turned out to be self-aware, independent beings. No longer the author of the story, I became a witness. It was not long before it became clear that Ben was an enlightened teacher, with a message of great urgency. Ben began sharing his message for humanity in 1997, just before the great Internet Boom. In those days, many people thought the future would be just like today, only better. Sure, there were some issues to solve, but great new technologies were right around the corner and the US had never been so prosperous. Populations were finally leveling off, and it looked as if we might not trash the planet after all. Life was good. Into this booming world of high-tech dreams stepped Ben Cypress Joy with a message about a coming time of massive chaos and change, and a profound transformation of the collective soul of humanity. Few heard him at first. Although some of Ben's predictions might seem apocalyptic, his deep message is one of hope and love. The teachings are offered so that we might suffer less and live well, even during difficult times. The message is urgent, and time is short. According to Ben, the world is rapidly approaching a pivotal event called the First Technospiritual Cusp. It is an event that happens in the history of every intelligent race, a time of immense chaos when dozens of simultaneous changes happen on a global scale. Climate change, economic chaos, political upheaval, social revolutions, wars, plagues, fantastic new inventions and profound scientific discoveries, all happening at once. When Ben first arrived here, people didn't want to hear about it. Alongside the predictions of chaos and change Ben offers a powerful, hopeful message of love and good fortune. He shows us how we can navigate the waters of global confusion by responding creatively to the flow around us. In unpredictable times we must be agile dancers.
